Information Stored on Your Device
The app keeps the working content of a review on the device itself. This local content can include:
The core workflow runs locally. This content is not automatically transmitted to the developer as part of that workflow.
- Saved reviews, including the template selection, statuses and notes
- Local inspection state, such as selected statuses, the selected review and the last opened review
- Local settings preferences, such as units, template, photo handling, theme or contrast, and export preference
- Exported files created on the device
- An export or copy summary generated from local review data
Local Photos
A user may attach photos to a review as local evidence for an item being inspected. Photos are chosen by the user, are stored as local app content on the device, and are not sent to the developer as part of the core workflow. A review can be recorded and saved without adding any photo.
Exporting, Sharing and External Actions
The app can export, copy or share a summary built from saved local reviews. Export and sharing are optional and take place only when the user starts them through Android system actions. Until then, the data stays on the device.
The app may also open external Android services when the user selects a contact or sharing action. These can include a browser, an email client, a phone dialler, a maps application, or the Android share sheet. Those external services operate under their own privacy practices, and leaving the app hands the interaction to them.
Local Content and Developer-Side Collection
The app does not require personal identity information for its core workflow, and no account or profile is created. The reviews, notes, photos, settings and exported files described above are held on the user's device and are not automatically transmitted to the developer.
Content the user creates locally may contain personal information if the user chooses to type or attach it, for example a name or a remark entered into a review. The app does not send that content anywhere on its own.
If a user contacts the company by email or telephone, the company receives the contact details and whatever the message or call contains. That is direct correspondence between the user and the company, and it sits apart from the review content stored in the app.
What the App Does Not Include
The app does not require login or account registration. It does not provide payment processing or subscription functionality, and it does not include monetisation features.
Important Use Notice
Powell Welding Repair is a practical review aid. The statuses, notes and exported action packs it produces are based on observations entered by the user and are provided for informational and practical purposes only.
They are not engineering certification, structural sign-off, or a replacement for inspection by a qualified professional. Nothing in the app or in its output amounts to legal, financial, insurance, safety or regulatory advice, and no approval, clearance or formal assessment is given by using it.
Retention and Deletion
Local review data remains on the device until the user deletes it, clears the app's local data, or uninstalls the application. Individual reviews can be removed inside the app, and the app includes a control for clearing all local data.
Exported files remain wherever the user chose to save or share them, and removing the app does not remove those copies.
Security
Local app content is kept within the application's own storage on the device and is not held on company servers. Protecting the device itself, for example with the screen lock the user has configured, remains with the user. Users also remain responsible for any files they export, copy or share.
Your Rights (UK and EEA)
Users in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, such as access, correction, deletion or restriction, where applicable under law. Whether these rights apply depends on whether personal data is processed by the company.
Because the review content held by the app stays on the device and is not automatically transmitted to the developer, most of it can be managed directly on the device or removed by uninstalling the application. Children's Privacy (13+)
The app is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. The company does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such information is identified, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it or otherwise address the situation.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be revised from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the app or to applicable requirements. When a revision is made, the revision date shown alongside this policy is updated. The version presented with the application is the one that applies.
